Our Nursery
Our Infant & Toddler Program works primarily to provide a loving, safe environment that encourages developmental growth.
The infants and young children are between 6 weeks and 3 years. We keep the child/staff ratio below what is required at 4 to 1 and maximum capacity in the room is 12.
Older children that are between 3 and 6 years (through Kindergarten but not yet in First Grade) are taught in a classroom environment called Beginners Church. The teacher in the room integrates music activities, art activities, etc. to aid in the teaching of biblical principles.
Environment
The nursery is open every Sunday at 9:15 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. (fifteen minutes prior to the beginning of Sunday School and each worship service).
The infant room is filled with toys that are appropriate for the babies' wide range of development such as bouncy chairs for newborns, play mats, and toys. Toys are available for the older babies and toddlers as well.
Meals and Snacks
Light snacks are provided, however, the parent may bring their own. We have a refrigerator for storage and a microwave oven for heating food and bottles. Snacks are provided for toddlers.
Security
When a parent/guardian checks in a child (babies through 3 year-olds), they are given a pager for their child. Should parental assistance be needed during the nursery time, a page will be sent. Your child/children will be returned to the parent/guardian only. Pagers must be turned in at the time you pick up your child.
What to Provide
We ask that you provide the following items, when appropriate:
- Diapers
- Vaseline, powder, etc.
- Bottles and food-please indicate any special instructions.
- A complete change of clothing.
- A pacifier, if your child uses one.
- Any blanket, toy, pillow, etc. that may provide comfort and security for your child.
- Please identify any known allergies.
